Do you have any extra plants to share that we could plant them up in the next few weeks in one of the new raised beds at the King George V Field?
The Parish Council has put them in as a Community amenity. One has been planted up with brassicas, tomato plants and flowers that were overflow from Karen Warrington’s (our local councillor) allotment. I have sown some lettuce, micro greens and nasturtiums just to get us started and Jon Wheatley is giving us some vegetable seeds.
We thought it would be good to have some herbs which could be picked without taking the whole plant – really sharing.
ALSO: there’s no water supply in the Field so I am taking cans up but anyone who has any water while they are in the Field, please pour it on the plants especially while they get established.
