On behalf of the Parish Council I want to thank the many volunteers who have been doing a wide range of tasks for neighbours including shopping, getting medicines, phoning and befriending. Others are delivering medicines, taking people to appointments and organising food deliveries, including senior meals. You have given this support over a number of weeks and are still giving – we thank you for your generosity and commitment.
We are fortunate in Chew Magna to have a network of volunteer wardens who are the ‘go to’ people in their neighbourhood. Grown from the Flood Warden system, this provides a communication network that can reach everyone. We hear brilliant stories from neighbourhoods during this pandemic and hope the spirit of community will continue.
So to ALL volunteers – you are doing a very special job and we thank you for keeping our Parish safe.
