Bath & North East Somerset Council recently completed a review of library provision and invited community groups and organisations to submit expressions of interest to establish their own local community based library provision. The Council are offering to support these new libraries with stock, some initial financial investment and training as part of their ‘invest to save’ programme. Following a presentation made to the Chew Valley Forum last year and the subsequent discussion between the forum members, Chew Valley School decided to submit a proposal and have now been given the opportunity to develop a business plan and full application for setting up and running a community library based in the existing school library building on their campus in Chew Lane. To help shape this proposal we would welcome your thoughts. Please help us to decide how we could operate the new by completing the survey below.
