Batth and North East Somerset Third Sector Group (3SG) alongside HCRG, St. Mungo’s and Apex Hotels, will be hosting its first ever Volunteer Fair to help promote local charitable organisations and for the local residents in the BANES area to come along and find out more about what it could be like to volunteer.
The Volunteer Fair takes place on Friday, 1st September from 11am – 4pm at the Apex Hotel, Bath (BA1 2DA). Entry is free for all and visitor entry is via Charles Street for the Conference Centre.
3SG supports charities, community groups and social enterprises across B&NES with over 220 members in its network. This pilot initiative is a way to realise potential interest that residents have towards local volunteering opportunities. It is a great opportunity for the residents to find out more about the charities and potentially sign up to contribute their skills to their amazing missions.
Over 40 charities have signed up and are excited to deliver a fun and interactive experience for the residents as they tell all about themselves and the opportunities they are offering. We have several workshops planned including discussion on corporate social responsibility and meaningful connections, nurturing volunteers and ways in which we can offer volunteering for those with little time.
