B&NES Council are committed to ensuring that all voters have a
positive voting experience.
You may need assistance or advice when voting by post
or at a polling station, if you have a disability or
accessibility need.
Voting in person
Wherever possible, our polling stations are wheelchair
accessible and will have a designated and signposted
wheelchair entrance. In cases where this is not possible,
we can make arrangements to ensure that you are able
to vote at your local polling station.
There are other measures we can provide if you need
them, such as the following:
Adapted polling booths
Large print versions of ballot papers
Tactile voting devices (for blind or partially sighted
voters)
Pencils with grips
Assistance from the Presiding Officer
You can choose anyone aged over 18 to accompany
you in the polling station to help you vote.
