This plan for the website has been redacted in line with data protections but I hope you’ll find it useful.
It describes how the Parish. working with B&NES, the Environment Agency and Fire & Rescue, has devised a community plan to mitigate any potential flood events. We have an annual Resilience Day when we carry out checks on equipment, deal with issues and plan for the future. We are working with the Chew Valley Flood Forum and Bristol and Avon Rivers Trust to look at Natural Flood Management as a longer term mitigation. We thank all those across the Parish who are part of the Adopt a Drain Scheme, keeping drains clear and the many who turn out in Autumn on leaf clearing days – it makes such a difference.
FINALLY: We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our team of dedicated Trained Volunteer Wardens who look after their Neighbourhood Zones so effectively.
